Effect of Traffic Air Pollution on Human Health in Patna- A Case Study

In order to detect the effect of traffic pollution on human health, statistical analysis has been carried out in the Patna city. The statistical tools used for the study are ANOVA, χ2- test and MS EXCEL (ANOVA). The health effect selected for the analysis is headache and two parameters i.e. mode of transportation and travelling time have been fixed to establish the relationship. Based on these two parameters, it has been found that effect on human health i.e. headache due to traffic pollution is evident at 1% and 5% level of significance. All the tools of analyses used in this study confirms the headache problem in the polluted city of Patna due to travelling on different modes of transportation for different time periods by showing similar findings.
