World Student’s Day (15 October): A tribute to India’s ‘People’s President’ and‘The Missile Man of India’

Abstract

This communication is about ‘World Student’s Day – 15thOcober’which is a matter of great prestige and honour for India as it is the birthday of India’s great former president and “The Missile Man” - late Dr. APJ Kalam. In 2010, the United Nations avowed his birthday, 15th October as the “World Student’s Day” on his 79th birthday. Dr. Kalam, a pioneer of India’s space and missile initiatives and died on July 27, 2015 at the age of 83. Kalam was the President of India from 2002 to 2007 and was famous as the ‘People’s President’.  Dr. Kalam dedicated his whole life in working towards the betterment of society and in giving knowledge to the students to become ideal citizens and good human beings. Kalam has left an opulent legacy to the people of India and an even richer legacy to the World.
