Turbocharger is castigated as the booster of power for IC engines especially at the higher load. Selection of turbocharger is an important and an improper match and selection may lower engine breathing requirement as well as compressor performance and tends to take compressor towards surge and choke region of operation. So matching of the turbocharger is a tiresome task. This research focuses on matching the turbocharger to IC Engine by simulation and by On-Road test. The main focus of this work is to find appropriateness in matching of turbochargers with trim 68 (B60J68), trim 70 (A58N70) and trim 75 (A58N75) for the TATA 497 TCIC -BS III engine. In the on-road testing like Data-logger, the rough road routes, highway, city Drive, slope up and Slope down routes  were considered for analytical analysis. With compressor map, the operating conditions with respect to various routes, speeds were simulated and simulated outputs and Road-Testing were compared and verified.
