The present study was conducted on 107 Anganwadi workers working in respective Anganwadi centers with the main objective to assess their nutritional knowledge, attitude and practice with respect to growth monitoring, immunization and supplementary nutrition. A comparative study was done between Anganwadi workers of Chandigarh city and Jammu District, 52 Anganwadi workers were randomly selected from Chandigarh and 55 workers were selected from Jammu District. Background characteristics like their age, educational qualification and working experience were studied. Various parameters like number of beneficiaries registered, type of cooking, menu of the center, provision of nutritional supplements, knowledge regarding growth monitoring, immunization, health check ups were also studied.
